Bought my Specialized mountain bike in for them to look at as chain was slipping. first they said cant take it as they had too much work on. Then the repair guy came out with a massive 350 repair bill to do it! saying it needing lots replacing. and the repair guy only looked at it for a min. Rubbish. I sorted it out myself...for nothing I,m aware some some companies will will use this tactic. they dont really want the work, but they see if one is crazy enough to pay crazy high price. Not nice. bike had only been used lightly. hmm interesting. Advice? get a second opinion on bike repair cost.

Lads in the workshop are great, particularly Oscar. They have worked on a couple of my bikes over the last year (both road and mountain bike), service has always been really good. They are incredibly knowledgeable and go the extra mile - for example ordering replacement Mavic parts directly from the dealer in France.
After a nightmarish experience in Evans I popped in here to get some brake pads. They had exactly what I needed in stock, for the same price, and the service was quick and friendly. Definitely my bike shop of choice in the future!
