Sometimes I feel like we're living in a medieval with the censorship of books there is in the world. Most of book shops and publishing houses are getting paid by the KSA not to sell certain books, since they're are controversially explaining Islam in different ways than Islamic community wants. I was looking for a book by one Sudanese philosopher Mohammed Mahmoud and didn't find it in the USA, Germany...I searched a lot and finally these guys had it. It honestly is one of the best Arabic bookshops in the world.
Im disappointed that I travelled along way to get to this bookstore only to find out its closed throughout Xmas holiday without updating this information on their website!!!
Nice layout and use of space but so expensive books and dont have any books for popular egyptian writers like Dr A K Tawfik

Probably the best Arabic bookshop in London. The inventory of Al Saqi is immense, as you'll probably find most of what you're looking for here. The downside here is the outrageously high prices, but I think this down to the high rent value for shops in London. Overall, recommended.
